Dark and full in the glass, this wine smells of plum, black cherry, roasted coffee, and dried rose petals. On the entry, dark fruit and spice are supported by muscular yet refined tannins. The palate is round and lush, with lovely toasted oak and espresso accents and vibrant acidity adding extended freshness to the finish. With its beautiful mouthfeel and overall complexity, Martin Stelling Vineyard Cabernet consistently straddles the line between power and elegance, and this vintage shows particular finesse.

The Martin Stelling Vineyard is located at the base of the western hills in Oakville and is the primary vineyard for Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon. Nickel & Nickel is fortunate to farm two acres of this vineyard. The soils are composed of deep volcanic loam with underlying clay and gravel.
